Join us in a rich day of making, discussions, and workshops to explore ways to support women’s leadership in the creative economy and social innovation.
This unique gathering will feature reflections, learnings and creative works from 16 exceptional women who are working across craft, arts, design and social innovation in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.
This multi-format and interactive public symposium is co-designed with creative practitioners from Australia, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia involved in a year-long transcultural mentoring programme for women. There will also be an exhibition to engage with their creative, collective works.
We aim to listen and reflect on the value of women’s contribution in creative sectors and also learn from their experiences in addressing challenges around equity and exclusion.
We hope the day will offer insights to policy makers, researchers and practitioners working in local and national governments, community organisations and (I)NGOs, with the aim to support women’s leadership in social innovation and the creative economy to deliver meaningful impact for communities.
All activities will be in English. A draft outline of themes and times in three parts:
Morning (9am -12pm): Enabling women through mentorship – voices and experiences
Afternoon (1-5pm): Talking through making and connecting – methodologies for women’s leadership
Evening (5-7pm): Overcoming barriers for women in creative sectors – turning lessons into strategyNB: Times are subject to change, and will be confirmed closer to the event to those who RSVP.
Participation is free but we do require you to register for the sessions you wish to attend.
The event is hosted and organised by Designing Social Innovation in Asia-Pacific (DESIAP), Kogei-net, Bangkok University Thailand, RMIT University Australia, Northumbria University UK, Kanazawa College of Art, Japan. The programme is funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Australian Government through the Australia-Japan Foundation. It is also supported by the British Council Thailand and Asian Womens Social Entrepreneur Network (AWSEN).

การพบกันครั้งนี้ จะเป็นการรวบรวมเสียงสะท้อน การแลกเปลี่ยนสิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้ และนำเสนอผลงานจากผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการที่ผ่านการคัดเลือก โดยผู้เข้าร่วมหญิงทั้ง 16 คนนี้ คือกลุ่มคนที่ทำงานด้านหัตถศิลป์ ศิลปะ การออกแบบ และนวัตกรรมทางสังคมในประเทศไทย มาเลเซีย ญี่ปุ่น และออสเตรเลีย
การประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นการสัมมนาสาธารณะ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยกิจกรรมหลากหลายรูปแบบ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมจาก ออสเตรเลีย ญี่ปุ่น ไทย และมาเลเซีย โดยโครงการนี้ได้ดำเนินการให้คำปรึกษาเป็นระยะเวลาหนึ่งปี เพื่อมุ่งพัฒนาความสามารถในการเป็นผู้นำของผู้หญิงผ่านรูปแบบการให้คำปรึกษาข้ามเชื้อชาติ
เรามุ่งมั่นที่จะรับฟังเสียงสะท้อนในเรื่องของคุณค่าของการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้หญิงในอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ และเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ของพวกเธอในการรับมือกับความท้าทายเกี่ยวกับการกีดกันและความเสมอภาค
เราหวังว่างานสัมมนาในครั้งนี้จะนำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงลึกแก่ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย นักวิจัย และผู้ปฏิบัติงานที่ทำงานในรัฐบาลท้องถิ่นและระดับชาติ องค์กรชุมชน และ NGOs โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนความเป็นผู้นำของผู้หญิงในด้านนวัตกรรมทางสังคมและเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ และส่งต่อประโยชน์เหล่านี้ให้แก่ชุมชน
กิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นระหว่างงานสัมมนานี้จะดำเนินรายการเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ หัวข้อในงานสัมมนาจะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วนหลักได้แก่
ช่วงเช้า (09.00 – 12.00 น.): การสนับสนุนผู้หญิงผ่านการให้คำปรึกษา – เสียงสะท้อนและประสบการณ์
ช่วงบ่าย (13.00-17.00 น.): บทสนทนาผ่านการสร้างสรรค์และการเชื่อมต่อ – วิถีของการเป็นผู้นำของผู้หญิง
ช่วงเย็น (17.00-19.00 น.): การเอาชนะอุปสรรคสำหรับผู้หญิงในงานสร้างสรรค์ – เปลี่ยนบทเรียนให้เป็นกลยุทธ์หมายเหตุ: เวลาอาจมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง และผู้ที่ตอบรับคำเชิญจะได้รับการยืนยันเมื่อใกล้ถึงวันงาน
