次世代の工芸作家を支援するプログラム
「KOGEI ARTISTS LEAGUE 2025–26」 の開催が決定しました。
本プログラムは、作品の展示・販売の機会創出や、サポーター作家との交流を通じて、若手作家の継続的な創作活動を支援する取り組みです。
今回からは、対象地域が全国へ拡大され、さらに年齢制限も撤廃。
より多くの工芸作家の皆さまに挑戦いただける制度となりました。
選考を経て選出されたファイナリストは、2026年8月に日本橋三越本店で開催予定の展覧会に出展することができます。
また昨年に引き続き、秋元雄史氏をサポーター代表として迎え、
工芸のカテゴリーを横断して世界で活躍する7名の工芸作家がサポーターとして、選考および交流会に参加し、若手工芸作家たちの創作活動を支援します。
KOGEI ARTISTS LEAGUE 2025–26 Announcement
— Supporting the Next Generation of Contemporary Kogei Artists —
We are pleased to announce the launch of KOGEI ARTISTS LEAGUE 2025–26, a program dedicated to supporting the next generation of kogei (craft) artists through exhibition and sales opportunities, as well as mentorship and exchange with leading artists.
Starting this year, eligibility has been expanded nationwide, and all age restrictions have been removed, allowing a wider and more diverse range of artists to apply.
Finalists selected through the screening process will be invited to exhibit their works at the exhibition scheduled to be held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, Tokyo, in August 2026.
Following last year, Mr. Yuji Akimoto will continue as the lead supporter, joined by seven internationally active kogei artists across multiple craft categories, who will participate as supporters in the selection process and exchange meetings to nurture the creative activities of emerging artists.

・全国の大学3年生以上（2年制大学・専門学校は最終学年）
・大学院・研修所・研究所で学ぶ作り手
・2026年3月時点で修了後3年以内の方
（2025年・2024年・2023年3月修了者）

※個人またはグループ応募可
※グループ応募の場合、代表者が条件を満たせば応募可能
以下の日程への参加が必須となります。
・最終選考会：2026年6月6日（土）・7日（日）
・内覧会：2026年8月18日（火）
・展覧会初日：2026年8月19日（水）

Eligible applicants include:
- Students in their 3rd year or above at universities (or final-year students at 2-year colleges or vocational schools)
- Graduate students or trainees at institutes and research centers
- Artists who completed their studies within three years as of March 2026
(Graduated in March 2023, 2024, or 2025) - No age restriction
- Applications accepted from individuals or groups
- For group applications, the representative must meet the eligibility requirements
Applicants must be available to attend the following dates:
- Final Selection: June 6 (Sat) & 7 (Sun), 2026
- Preview: August 18 (Tue), 2026
- Opening Day of Exhibition: August 19 (Wed), 2026
対象作品と評価基準｜Artwork Requirements & Evaluation Criteria
【日本語】
・応募作品は1人（1グループ）につき1点
・オリジナル作品であること
・伝統素材・技法を用い、多くが手作業で制作されていること
・伝統を踏まえつつ現代性・革新性がある表現であること
・素材と向き合う確かな技術と新しい価値観が表現されていること
・サイズ：3辺合計120cm以内
・重量：20kg以内
・カテゴリー：
金属／漆／木／紙／布／陶磁器／ガラス／革／その他
以下は応募不可：
・危険物、銃刀類、人体に害を与えるもの
・動物愛護法違反となる行為
・他の賞を受賞した作品
・制作から3年を超える作品
・電源や特定環境を必要とする作品
・販売不可の作品
※応募から展覧会終了まで、作品の所有権は応募者に帰属

- The work must be original
- Must use traditional materials and techniques, largely handmade
- Should demonstrate contemporary expression and innovation grounded in tradition
- Must show sound technical skill and new values in relation to the material
- Size limit: Total of three dimensions within 120 cm
- Weight limit: Within 20 kg
- Categories:
Metal / Lacquer / Wood / Paper / Textile / Ceramics / Glass / Leather / Others
Not eligible:
- Hazardous materials, weapons, or harmful objects
- Any actions violating animal welfare laws
- Previously awarded works
- Works created more than three years ago
- Works requiring electricity or special exhibition environments
- Non-saleable works
Ownership remains with the applicant from application through the end of the exhibition.
