金沢・世界工芸トリエンナーレは、3年に一度、工芸をテーマに金沢から世界へ発信される国際展です。
第6回となる本展では、国内外の工芸作家や研究者、キュレーターが集い、「工芸とは何か」「これからの時代にどのような価値を持つのか」を多角的に問い直します。
会場は金沢21世紀美術館を中心に、市内各所へと広がり、展示に加えて、シンポジウムやトークイベント、ワークショップなども予定されています。
伝統的な素材や技法を基盤としながら、現代美術、デザイン、テクノロジーと交差する多様な工芸表現が紹介され、金沢という工芸都市の現在と未来を映し出します。
世界と地域、伝統と革新、手仕事と社会。

The KOGEI Triennale Kanazawa is an international exhibition held every three years, presenting contemporary crafts from Kanazawa to the world.
In its 6th edition, artists, researchers, and curators from Japan and abroad gather to explore what crafts mean today and what values they may hold for the future.
Centered around the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and expanding across multiple venues in the city, the triennale features exhibitions as well as symposiums, talks, and workshops.
While grounded in traditional materials and techniques, the presented works engage with contemporary art, design, and technology, revealing new possibilities for crafts in our time.
Bringing together the global and the local, tradition and innovation, handwork and society, the KOGEI Triennale Kanazawa serves as an essential international platform for rethinking the future of crafts.
